About the Football Camps - Residential and Day Camps

Residential Camps may be attended from 1 to 4 weeks at any one time from Monday to Friday with Sunday afternoon Check-In before the Camp Start on Monday. Camps Finish at 2:00 p.m. on Friday afternoons.

Players attending for more than 1 week, stay at the Football Camp Accommodation during the Weekends between Camp Weeks under full supervision.

Residential Camps include all accommodation, food, soft drinks, in-house laundry service and football coaching.

Day Football Camps are for a minimum of 1 Week from 10:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and include a Packed-Lunch and Drinks. Day Camp Players make their own way to and from the Camp Football Fields.

The purpose of the football camps is to provide the best possible coaching for serious football players aged from 8 to 18 years, in a secure environment conducive to good football practice, while utilising the best available facilities and multi-lingual highest quality coaches.

To achieve these aims and ensure that both players and parents get value for money, European Football Camps engage former top-flight and international players as football coaches. Specialist speed improvement and fitness coaches are also available at the camps as are a physiotherapist and sports psychologist. These professionals make sure each player in every age group goes through a carefully planned skills and technique improvement programme, designed to show players how best to develop their talents.

Attendance at the camps is limited to groups of 10–12 players per coach, with groups being rotated between coaches who are always present with the groups. During the camp, players are assessed and may be invited to attend trials for admission to the Independent European Football Academy.

Safari Camps

Parents may leave children at Football Camps in Malawi while they go on Safari in Malawi and Zambia. E-mail info@footballcamps.co.uk for camp details and info@wilderness.mw for safari information. Football Camps are normally held in May and June, and Safaris throughout the year.

F1 Camps

Combine a Football Camp for the children with a family outing to the April 2007 Bahrain Formula 1 race. European Football Academy accommodation and race tickets included. E-mail info@footballcamps.co.uk for details.

3-Week, 3-Country Football Camps

Players have the choice of attending a Special 3-Week Football Camp where they may attend for 1-Week in London and for two other Weeks at Camps in 2 Different Countries.

Supervised and Accompanied Travel between countries - England, Scotland, Ireland and Luxembourg - will be during the middle weekends.

Interested players should specify which countries/camps they wish to attend. Prices include travel between countries.

When players make Flight Reservations from their Country of Residence to the First-Camp (London - England) they should check Return Flights from their Last-Camp Country.

If Flights are not available from their Last Choice Camp, then Return Flights back home should be made from London.

Camp Locations and Dates

Camps are held throughout the year in London, Ireland, Germany, Luxembourg, Asia, The Gulf States and Africa, with a Mobile Coaching Unit being used for other areas and countries. Parents and players may tell us about their preferred dates and locations, so that camps may be organised around their needs. Latest camp dates and locations are regularly mailed to parents and players and listed on website www.footballcamps.co.uk.

Prices for each Football Camp vary from country to country and individual Football Camp prices will be e-mailed to you immediately upon request.

Accommodation

European Football Academy accommodation is provided at camp locations. Single, double and triple rooms may be requested. Details of exact Academy House locations are e-mailed with pricing quotations for each country.

Food

Three meals per day are prepared in-house for all players at the camps. Special food requirements are also catered for.

Free Time

After dinner during week-days players enjoy Free Time or Non-Football Time.

This is when they are free to join in various organised and supervised sight-seeing activities or to participate in the many in-house sporting competitions such as Table Tennis, Pool and Rounders organised by the Football Camps.

Also supervised visits to suitable nearby movies are arranged by the Camp Staff.

Players are always accompanied by Football Camp Staff during Free Time Outings and also to visits to the local shops and supermarkets. They are never allowed to go away unaccompanied.

Parents need to know that at the Football Camps players are actually full-time players during their stay at the camps and their bodies get very tired after the first 2 days, so many of them do just want to rest-up after the the first few days and watch TV or videos/DVDs in order to be ready for the next day's football coaching.

Football Camp Staff do make sure that all players get to see the main points of interest in the places where the camps are held.

Weekends

Many players stay at the Football Camps for 2 - 3 or 4 weeks or more. These players stay and eat at the Academy Accommodation during the weekends and are supervised over the entire weekend just as they are during weekdays.

Weekends are more relaxed than weekdays and a break is taken from football.

Additional supervised sight-seeing takes place as do competitions, games and movie-going.

English Classes

English Classes are arranged for players who wish to improve their English during their stay at the Camps.

Qualified English Teachers conduct the classes with emphasis being placed on every-day spoken English.

Prices for the classes will depend on the number of participants.

Mobile Coaching Unit

This coaching unit is available to travel to groups, teams, schools and football clubs in most countries to coach all levels during weekdays, evenings, weekends and during holidays.

Trials for the Independent European Football Academy

During the camps, players are assessed, and those considered to be of the required standard, are offered further trials for admission to the Independent European Football Academy. Those players not yet up to the Academy admission standards, are given individual improvement programmes to follow for future assessment.

At each camp, players are rated in accordance with their assessment, and entered on the Academy’s Computerised Player Rating System by age and position. These records are used by the Academy for monitoring each player’s progress and for recommending players of suitable calibre to clubs.

Tournament Teams

European Football Camps enter teams in a number of football tournaments in the UK and Europe throughout the year. Players wishing to play in those teams should indicate this on the booking form when they register for a camp. Details of the tournaments including location, transportation arrangements and cost, will then be sent to these players before the tournaments, so that they can confirm their interest in playing for "the Euros".

Meeting Players at Airports, Stations

We meet ALL players at Incoming Airports, Train or Bus Stations and accompany them back to the Airport, Train or Bus Station after the Football Camps.

Residential Players should note that Check-In to the Football Camp Accommodation is on the Sunday before the Camps Start on Monday morning of each week.

The Football Camps Finish on Fridays every week at 2.00 p.m. (14.00 hours) so Return Flights etc should be booked for any time after 6.00 p.m. (18.00 hours) on Fridays.

Players may Arrive a Day Early or Depart a Day Later to suit the Best Travel Arrangements.

Those driving to the Football Camps will be e-mailed exact directions to the Camps following receipt of Reservations.
